Albert Obiols is the current head of the Artificial Intelligence Area at inLab FIB UPC. An Informatics Engineer with a postgraduate degree in Big Data Management and Analytics from the UPC, he has a career spanning over 30 years in university-led technological innovation. He has led and collaborated on numerous technology transfer projects for both institutions and private companies, providing a strategic vision in data analysis and the development of critical applications. Driven by a commitment to constant innovation in the field of AI, he has successfully spearheaded multiple applied research initiatives, turning technology into a high-value asset for all types of organizations.

Artificial vision system for counting users and identifying objects at bus stops for GeoActio

GeoActio created a people counting system inside the bus and implemented a set of algorithms to deeply analyze the data obtained.

TDA Cybersecurity for Fundació i2cat

inlab FIB participates in the Advanced Digital Technologies in Cybersecurity project, collaborating with the Cybersecurity Agency of Catalonia and the i2Cat Foundation, implementing an artificial intelligence module to classify and extract information from security incidents.
