Epidemiological survey system for Vall d’Hebron

The Center for International Health and Communicable Diseases Drassanes-Vall d’Hebron is a specialized center for infectious diseases. They provide specialised care to patients affected by certain communicable diseases, illnesses related to international travel and at risk of suffering from them.

The main objective of the Center is the detection and treatment of infectious diseases. It is for this reason that they have a set of resources for awareness, information on different diseases, prevention…, that are found in eSPICTools’ web (https://espictools.cat/).

They also conduct surveys in different territories of Catalonia with the aim of detecting and treating these infectious diseases. These surveys consist of a set of paper forms made by health agents.

The Center has contacted inLab FIB in order to carry out a pilot that allows to digitize the surveys that they now do with paper, see the results in a graphic and understandable way as well as to be able to geolocate where the different surveys and actions have been carried out.
