The objective of the project is to turn the citizen into an active agent in the generation of information on mobility through the use of ICTs. Thus, the people who participate will act as citizen sensors (according to the methodology of the Probe Person Survey) in order to generate information about their mobility during a period of time, through their mobile device. The system will collect this information and process it to perform an analysis on mobility and urban behaviors.
This project will establish a framework for collaboration between UPCnet and inLab for collaborative research and open innovation to enhance and transfer research in the area of “smart mobility”. This research will help drive innovation, improvement and competitiveness of UPCnet’s products and services in the field of smart cities, including the generation of new services for citizens or public administrations.
