Albert Obiols is the current head of the Artificial Intelligence Area at inLab FIB UPC. An Informatics Engineer with a postgraduate degree in Big Data Management and Analytics from the UPC, he has a career spanning over 30 years in university-led technological innovation. He has led and collaborated on numerous technology transfer projects for both institutions and private companies, providing a strategic vision in data analysis and the development of critical applications. Driven by a commitment to constant innovation in the field of AI, he has successfully spearheaded multiple applied research initiatives, turning technology into a high-value asset for all types of organizations.

In this project, the company, together with the participation of inLab FIB, aims to make the daily work of Help Desk staff easier, as well as that of employees who need to report requests or incidents, by automating form filling.
inLab FIB and Qorvo Inc. are collaborating on a research project exploring artificial intelligence-based approaches to accelerate microelectronic circuit design, with a focus on design automation and performance prediction.
The inLab FIB participates in a innovative project to develop an interactive assistant based in Artificial Intelligence (AI), designed to help solve quality issues.

Funditec is an organization specialized in the research and development of next-generation drugs and antibiotics. Within the framework of its high-throughput screening processes, the company requires an improvement in data visualization to accurately identify the compounds with the greatest therapeutic potential.
An AI system that generates rose images from a sketch and a brief description. The result is an image with one or more roses that follows the shape of the sketch and tries to reflect the descriptive text.
