ModpoW AgriTechnologies 2.0

ModpoW was founded in 2010 in Barcelona with the aim of developing projects based on WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) with a focus on outdoor environments and a special sensitivity to projects for a sustainable planet. During these years, the company has acquired a deep knowledge of these technologies, consolidating a team of more than 12 people.

From 2011 to 2015 they developed Smart Growth System, a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) applied to food production in professional crops to improve irrigation and save 30% of water consumption (energy and resource savings), in collaboration with IRTA (food research center). This project was led by ModpoW and was launched in 2015 at the Lleida Agricultural Fair under the name ModpoW AgriTechnologies. The product won the Technological Innovation Award.

ModpoW together with inLab FIB have won a grant from Acció, a Nuclis Green where the objective is to develop the ModpoW AgriTechnologies 2.0 platform, where a revolution in terms of the company’s current irrigation and fertilization tool is proposed, continuing to investigate the line of modeling, automated learning and automation of irrigation and fertigation decisions.
