Proof of concept of a Digital Twin for a generic highway segment

Description

The purpose of this project is to develop a proof of concept for the design, development, and experimentation of a simulation model for a specific section of a highway using available open-source tools.

This project considers different use cases that are modified with respect to the regular use of these road sections, including lane or road closures, or the incorporation of variable message signs for route diversion or speed control.

In the final part of the project, the feasibility of implementing the system in a production environment will be studied.
