Modelling, simulation and analysis of the transport system with AGV of Almirall

Almirall, an international pharmaceutical company committed to health with headquarters in Barcelona, has commissioned inLab FIB to carry out a simulation study to evaluate the capacity of the internal transport network to respond to the new needs associated with changes in production processes.

The transport network is mainly made up of automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The simulation model will be used to evaluate the different upgrade proposals in the event that the current network does not have sufficient transmission capacity.

For the simulation study, a complete model of the production plant will be developed to emulate the movements of the vehicles, as well as the missions associated with the logistical changes in their production.
