Disk wipe verification by Borax

The inLab FIB has collaborated with the company Borax S.L. to verify the disk wipe functionality of an application developed by them.

The goal of the project was to verify that once the erasure was performed on a disk, the information contained on that disk in question could not be recovered using typical acquisition methods, such as forensic tools or recovery tools offered by operating systems.

The actions carried out to verify the application have been limited to a specific version of the application and have been carried out on an inLab team where, previously, specific data had been dumped by facilitate, subsequently, the exhaustive verification of the erasure.
