Demand modeling for the evaluation of the PDU
Description
The Metropolitan Area of Barcelona needs the Metropolitan Urban Master Plan (PDU) to evaluate the mobility generated in the area of the metropolitan region by the different modes of transport and in different scenarios of urban transformation. The PDU will have to integrate the prognosis of mobility under the urban planning guidelines of the metropolis in the medium and long term.
The inLab FIB has been in charge of creating the demand model and forecasting mobility demand over a 25-year horizon for different urban growth and transport infrastructure development scenarios defined by the PDU.
