Migration System by CVI

Description

The Independent Living Center is a center that aims to provide services to elderly people with dependency and/or people with disabilities, using support products and technology to improve the quality of life by giving more autonomy and security to the home.

One of the main tasks performed by the center is the functional adaptation of the home for people with reduced mobility.

Requests for adaptations come from private and public organizations, such as the Barcelona City Council, which send them a referral form, a PDF file containing the data associated with an intervention and including essential information to initiate a functional adaptation study.

inLab FIB collaborates with the CVI to offer a web service to automate referrals from different organizations within the web manager that the CVI uses on a daily basis.

The collaboration has three phases:

  • Unification of derivation sheets.
  • Design and development of a single lead migrator.
  • Integration of the web service in the CVI web manager.

The migration of a referral consists of a validation process of the stored information to detect errors and warnings of the information received, and if no errors have been detected, the user assigned to the referral is registered in the CVI information system.

At the same time, some incidents associated with the day-to-day running of the CVI and its web manager have been resolved.
