CarGuard: Communicating mobiles with cars by Seat

Description

inLab FIB, within the framework of the SEAT-UPC Chair, has participated in the development of the CarGuard prototype.

This system allows SEAT vehicles to communicate with Android and iOS mobile devices, offering access to a catalog of safety and prevention functions.

Communication is bidirectional, therefore, from the mobile device you can send orders and check the status of the vehicle and the vehicle itself can send alerts and information to the smartphone.

For the positioning tasks, the project has relied on the free platform tooPath developed in recent years by inLab FIB.

This collaboration adds to the long history of collaboration between the company SEAT and the UPC, which since 2007 have been developing, through the SEAT-UPC Chair, activities aimed at training, research and transfer of research results.
