Bringing augmented reality to the MAC

The aim of the project is to create a mobile application that using augmented reality allows visitors to the Castell d’Olèrdola of the MAC (Museu Arqueològic de Catalunya) to know the different points of interest and obtain information.

The application shows a list of all the points of interest in the Castell, indicating those closest to the visitor’s location and the direction to follow to find them. When the user is at one of these points, by simply pointing the cell phone at the element, the tool will provide information about what he sees and can even offer a representation of how it was in the past.

This project will allow the MAC to be a leading organization in the use of this technology with the main interest of bringing the work to the general public.
