Over the next few months, the inLab FIB collaborates with the Foment del Treball to carry out a series of talks and webinars on various topics in the computer field and will be carried out by members of the inLab FIB and the UPC.
Industry 4.0 and Digital Twin shifters (05/05/2021) In this webinar, what are currently the various associated levers in Industry 4.0 will be exposed and it will be explained how Simulation can become a valid tool for the implementation of a digital twin that reduces the uncertainty of business risk. The participating speakers are Pau Fonseca (Responsible for Modeling, Simulation and Optimization projects) and Jordi Montero (Technical Responsible for Modeling, Simulation and Optimization projects). The participating speakers are Pau Fonseca (Responsible for Modeling, Simulation and Optimization projects) and Jordi Montero (Technical Responsible for Modeling, Simulation and Optimization projects).
- Big Data and data engineering to support predictive analytics (Date: to be determined)
With the participation of Oscar Romero (Responsible for DataScience and Big Data projects), Sergi Nadal (Collaborating Professor) and Albert Obiols (Responsible for Date Science and Big Data), this talk will discuss the evolution of analytical needs to the company (from descriptive to predictive analysis) and large-scale data engineering (Big Data architectures, type of repositories and how to govern them). It will also present practical cases on the automation of loading processes, the transformation and integration of heterogeneous data and the prediction of fraud using graphs.
- How to apply Machine Learning to our company? (Date: to be determined)
This talk will focus on giving a brief introduction to what is behind machine learning: classification, grouping and prediction algorithms. It also focuses on the ingredients for data-based decision making and process automation (data collection, data processing and modeling). Finally, practical cases will be included dealing with topics such as the prediction of casualties, market segmentation, recomanders, prediction of bus occupancy ... and many more. There will be the participation of Albert Obiols (Head of Data Science and Big Data) and Gonzalo Recio (Technical Manager of Data Science and Big Data projects).
- Cybersecurity: good practices for a secure teleworking environment (Date: to be determined)
In this last session, in which René Serral (Head of Cybersecurity projects) and Antonia Gómez (Head of Cybersecurity) will participate, we will focus on good practices to improve the security of teams within the teleworking environment. Concepts such as VPN - private and secure networks - and also firewalls and antivirus will be discussed, to offer an environment for safe and reliable teleworking in the current pandemic situation. We encourage you to save these dates and to participate in the sessions. You can already find more information about the first talk here.
