Esteve Codina has a PhD. since 1994 in Industrial Engineering by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya with an award for his PhD Thesis. He currently works as an associate professor at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research of this university.  His areas of interest are the development of models for transportation planning, mathematical programming models and algorithms, operations research and optimal control. He has been involved in more than 20 research and development projects with public administrations and companies. He has also been the author of several papers in research journals and has presented his research work in a number of international congresses and conferences.
