Enhancing ATM

This collaboration with the MTA aims to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PRM) on the different routes they can take along the facilities associated with the transport operators linked to the MTA: RENFE, AMB and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, among others, while also improving the user’s experience of the integrated rail network map of the Barcelona Area.

At the end of the project, MTA transport users will have a mobile application that integrates the following functionalities:

• Dynamic map using augmented reality techniques applied to the map of the integrated railway network of the Barcelona Area.
• Indoor and outdoor guidance system of accessible routes for PRM and users who wish to have real-time information while they are making their intermodal journey.

The collaboration is complemented by an augmented guide route editor that allows the creation of routes that will be made available to ATM users, and an information system that allows the management of the routes created with the editor.
