The implementation of a competency-based learning model requires tools that allow the definition, management and visualisation of the competencies associated with the various qualifications. In this context, the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) is driving the GRAF UOC project – a Competency Design Tool, a platform that facilitates the identification of the competencies addressed in each of the courses offered.

To support this initiative, the project incorporates an API that integrates different data repositories and standards, facilitating the management, maintenance and interoperability of the information. In addition, it has a web application that consumes this API and offers an intuitive interface for consulting and managing the qualifications’ competency map.

The inLab FIB has developed both the platform’s service architecture and its web application, implementing a flexible and scalable solution that facilitates the management of the competency model and supports the evolution of the UOC’s academic processes.
