Description

This project is part of the tender of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau “EC 2023 134 – Development and implementation services, through a pilot test, of a digital twin of some spaces of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (the modernist site of Domènech i Montaner and that of the hospital)”. This tender was won by UTE BIM6D-POWERBIM and inLab FIB.

The objective of this project is the development and pilot testing of a digital twin of the diagnostic imaging area (care circuit for the patient who is a candidate for an interventional radiological procedure), useful for diagnostic control interventions with intracranial aneurysm embolization.

This pilot test will have two distinct functionalities, the first will be useful for patients and the second for healthcare personnel (radiologists, technicians, nurses and janitors).

  1. Improvement of the user experience integrated in the current circuit: It consists of a patient training before the control by means of virtual reality glasses. This control is done with the patient awake and the objective of this training is that the patient becomes familiar with the environment, and can visualize the two-level room in 3D, as well as the equipment that is part of this room, along with a full explanation by the medical team.
  2. Simulation of patient flow in the diagnostic imaging area: This functionality has been developed by inLab FIB and its objective is to do the modeling of the occupation of the TACS and of the different care circuits for patients with suspected stroke. This model will allow healthcare personnel to simulate the occupation of the Diagnostic Imaging area by changing different variables.
