Irrigation planner and hydraulic validation module

Description

RegControl is a world pioneer plot irrigation control system that, by means of advanced agronomic knowledge and real time meteorological data, allows to calculate, determine and execute the irrigation needs of each crop and adapts to its specificities and climatic circumstances. AGBAR S.A. asked inLab to develop two modules to be integrated into this system: the irrigation planner and the hydraulic validation module, key elements of the RegControl system.

The irritation scheduler is the module that obtains the irrigation schedule for all sectors of the plot taking into account the set of physical and operational constraints. An example of a physical restriction is the maximum flow rate of the farm that limits the number of sectors that can be irrigated in an hour. Examples of operational restrictions are, for example, trying to irrigate by sprinkler in the morning when it is less windy or irrigating sectors with the same fertigation needs at the same time.

The hydraulic validation module is the tool that allows automatic detection of incidents associated with the irrigation installation – leaks, clogging, etc. -. This allows the farmer to take the appropriate measures immediately, saving time and gaining peace of mind.

Optimization techniques have been used for both reg planning and hydraulic validation.
