A Mossos d’Esquadra delegation of senior management visited inLab FIB to learn about the technological capacities of this innovation and research lab and to analyze new possible collaboration areas.
The visit of the delegation of senior management of Mossos d’Esquadra with the directive and the managers of the different expertise fields ofinLab FIB, the innovation and research lab of Informatics Faculty of Barcelona (FIB) of Polythecnic University of Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC), has taken place the 2nd of December. The delegation was headed by the Police’s General Director, Pere Ferrer, and the commissioner at the head, Eduard Sallent. Eleven commandment and managers of different technological fields of the Police also assisted.
The aim of the meeting was to know by first hand the technological capacities of inLab FIB in its expertise fields -Data Science and Big Data; Smart Mobility; Knowledge and service engineering; Cybersecurity; Simulation and Optimization: Digital Twin- and to analyze possible collaboration areas.
The Mossos d’Esquadra delegation has been received by the UPC rector, Daniel Crespo; the FIB dean, Josep Fernández Ruzafa, and the director of inLab FIB, Ernest Teniente.
This visit is encapsulated in the intelligence national directive’s context that Mossos have been finishing and aimed to guide and legitimate police action of Mossos in the information base, its processing and intelligence generation.
