The participating speakers are <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/pau-fonseca\">Pau Fonseca<\/a>&nbsp;(Modeling, Simulation and Optimization Project Manager) and <a href=\"http:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/jordi-montero\">J<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/jordi-montero\">ordi Montero<\/a> &nbsp;(Modeling, Simulation and Optimization Technical Project &nbsp;Manager).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Big Data and data engineering for predictive analytics support (Date: TBD)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\">With the participation of the<a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/oscar-romero\">Oscar Romero<\/a>&nbsp;(Responsible for Data Science and Big Data projects), <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/sergi-nadal\">Sergi Nadal<\/a>&nbsp;(Collaborating Professor) and<a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/albert-obiols\">Albert obiols<\/a>&nbsp;(Head of Data Science and Big Data),&nbsp;This talk will discuss the evolution of analytical needs in the enterprise (from descriptive to predictive analytics) and big data engineering (Big Data architectures, type of repositories and how to govern them). Case studies on the automation of loading processes, transformation and integration of heterogeneous data and fraud prediction using graphs will also be presented.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>How to apply Machine Learning to our company? (Date: to be determined)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\"><strong> <\/strong> This talk will focus on giving a brief introduction of what is behind machine learning: classification, clustering and prediction algorithms. The ingredients for data-driven decision making and process automation (data collection, data processing and modeling) will also be discussed. Finally, case studies will be included on topics such as casualty forecasting, market segmentation, recommendations, bus occupancy forecasting&#8230; and many more. <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/albert-obiols\">Albert Obiols<\/a>&nbsp;(Data Science and Big Data Manager) and <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/gonzalo-recio\">Gonzalo Recio<\/a>&nbsp;(Data Science and Big Data Technical Project Manager) will participate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cybersecurity: best practices for one around secure teleworking (Date: to be determined)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\"><strong> <\/strong>In this last session, in which <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/rene-serral\">Ren\u00e9 Collado<\/a>&nbsp;(Cybersecurity Project Manager)&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/ca\/persones\/antonia-gomez\">Antonia G\u00f3mez<\/a>&nbsp;(Cybersecurity Manager) will participate, we will focus on good practices to improve the security of teams in teleworking. Concepts such as VPN &#8211; private and secure networks &#8211; as well as firewalls and antivirus will be discussed to provide a secure and reliable teleworking environment in the current pandemic situation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"rteindent1\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We encourage you to save these dates and participate in the sessions.
