{"id":2641,"date":"2014-07-29T08:26:54","date_gmt":"2014-07-29T06:26:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/?p=2641"},"modified":"2025-02-26T17:04:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T16:04:14","slug":"jaume-barcelo-named-professor-emeritus-upc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/en\/premios\/jaume-barcelo-named-professor-emeritus-upc","title":{"rendered":"Jaume Barcel\u00f3 named professor emeritus at the UPC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">On June 21, the Governing Council of the university approved the nominee of Jaume Barcel\u00f3 member of the InLab FIB, attached to the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, and linked to the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FME) and the Faculty of Computing of Barcelona (FIB).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">On June 21, the university&#8217;s governing council approved the nomination of <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/es\/persones\/jaume-barcelo\">Jaume Barcel\u00f3<\/a> member of the InLab FIB, assigned to the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, and linked to the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics (FME) and the Faculty of computer science of Barcelona (FIB) along with other professors:<strong> Luis Basa\u00f1ez, Albert Corominas, Antonio Font and Francesc Sol\u00e9 Parellada,<\/strong> as professor emeritus of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\nJaume Barcel\u00f3 is currently responsible for Transport Projects and the inLab FIB, where several international projects have been worked on and also as responsible for projects related to the study of mobility such as: <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/en\/in4mo-advanced-information-system-mobility-people-and-vehicles\">in4mo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/en\/sensetrack\">SenseTrack<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/inlab.fib.upc.edu\/en\/probe-person-survey\">AllOver UPCnet<\/a> among many others . He is also the author of many articles in scientific journals and technical books on transport.
