THIS: Transport Hub Intelligent video System

escert
Description

The project addresses automatic behavioral analysis through video processing, focused on crowded scenarios, such as harbors, aeroports or train stations.

The main goal consists to develop a system capable to detect the movement of the people and follow them without human intervention. In example of the complexity from the developed software, it should be able to categorize as abnormal action a person running towards an emergency door, but it shouldn't consider as an abnormal action a person running towards a closing door. The developed software also had to be compatible in the already installed systems, without the need of redesigning them.

Beside esCERT-UPC, the following institutions also participated to the project:

  • CRIS (Italia)
  • Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Hungria)
  • Bridge (Italia)
  • Vitrociset (Italia)
  • Zanasi (Italia)
  • Resarch and Education Laboratory in Information Technology (Grecia)
