Study of the simulation of the process of classification of letters

DistriCenter is an operator in charge of the handling, storage and distribution of all types of products. They contacted inLab to ask for a simulation tool that would allow studying a proposed design for a new center of semi-automated classification of letters.

The simulation model simulates a system with a daily arrival of over 130,000 documents from different 5,000 places, then it sorts and groups them according to their destination. One of the key aspects is to ensure that the classification has been completed for each destination before a certain deadline in order to be able to continue with this logistics process and proceed to devilery.
