Solution for the assignment of guards in the healthcare field

Lya2 is a company that has been developing computer applications in the healthcare field for more than 10 years in order to facilitate both the organizational work of the medical team and that of the patients.

Lya2 is a tool for planning the operation and management of health professionals in a center or service. It offers a set of functionalities, the main ones of which are: management of areas and work shifts, management of holidays and leave days, calendar of service sessions, changes of guard, etc.

Lya2 has contacted inLab FIB to develop a solution to the problem of assigning guards in the healthcare field to include it in its planning and management tool. Specifically, an algorithm is developed for the assignment of on-call shifts of doctors in a hospital in a generic way taking into account both general restrictions and personal preferences.
