This project has analyzed the dynamic behavior of a future intermodal railway terminal planned in the Mediterranean area.
This terminal will use the merchandise corridor of the Mediterranean being this the terminal of origin and destination of semitrailers with destination / origin other rail terminals of Europe North-Center.
The objective of the study was to determine the maximum capacity of the terminal in trains/day number depending on the developemement stage of the railway structures.
A good knowledge of the behavior of the process regarding the dynamic behavior of the process, the needs of parking spaces, resources needed for loading / unloading trains, queues for access to the terminal and maximum operational capacity measured in trains/day number.
