Modeling of the demand for the evaluation of the PDU (Metropolitan Urban Master Plan)

The Barcelona Metropolitan Area needs from the Metropolitan Urban Master Plan (PDU) to evaluate the mobility generated in the metropolitan region by the different modes of transport and in different scenarios of urban transformation. The PDU will have to integrate the prognosis of mobility under the urban guidelines of the metropolis in the medium and long term.

The inLab FIB has been responsible for creating the demand model and forecasting mobility demand over a 25-year horizon for different scenarios of urban growth and development of transport infrastructures defined by the PDU.
