inLab FIB has collaborated with Punt de Referència in the development of an app that manages mentorship meetings and collects evidence of the methodology to evaluate it's impact.
Punt de Referència is a non-profit Catalan entity founded in 1997 to offer guidance and support to young people that set out to create their adult life when they leave the centres where they’ve lived under the guardianship of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Punt de Referència promoted the creation of the Coordinadora Mentoria Social, a network that brings together 14 mentorship projects, who will manage the app.
Mentorship is a tool for social intervention that promotes the relationship between people that voluntarily offer to provide individual support to another person that is under risk of exclusion.
The technical responsibles of the mentorship need a tool that allows them to know in depth two main aspects of the relationship:
Taking this into account, the main goal of the project is to design and create a Smartphone app, linked with a website for the internal management and collecting evidence of the professional team.
The app has to allow the mentor to easily communicate the information corresponding to his meetings, and the team management website has to have relevant information about the meetings and allow to follow the mentors up.
