Connecting the digital street guide of Barcelona and Open Street Map (OMS)

Description 

This project, developed by the Union of Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) aims at allowing the viewing and edition of the streets of Barcelona using OpenStreetMap.

OpenStreetMap is a free world map created from the geographic data and mapping information volunteers send. At the moment there are more than half a million registered collaborators and many countries, public institutions and companies support the project.

July, 2009 to December, 2009
Benefits for the client 

OSM system provides the AMB and its municipalities with a less expensive service to edit and correct street maps.
