CarGuard: Communicating mobile with cars

The inLab FIB, within the framework of the SEAT-UPC chair, has participated in the development of the CarGuard prototype.

This system allows SEAT vehicles to communicate with Android and iOS mobile devices, offering access to a catalog of safety and prevention functions.

Communication is bidirectional. From the mobile device you can send orders and check the status of the vehicle and the same vehicle can send alerts and information to the smartphone.

For the positioning tasks, the project has been supported by the free platform tooPath developed in recent years by the inLab FIB.

This collaboration is in addition to the long history of collaboration between the company SEAT and the UPC, which since 2007 have developed, through the SEAT-UPC chair, activities oriented towards training, research and transfer of research results.
