Bringing Augmented Reality to the MAC

Description

The aim of this project is to create a mobile app to allow visitors of the Castle of Olèrdola at the Archeological Museum of Catalonia (MAC) to locate points of interest and obtain more information using augmented reality.

The application lists all the points of interest in the Castle. Also, it shows which ones are closer to the visitor’s location and gives directions towards them. Once the visitor has found one of these spots, this tool will display information about what the user is seeing and a representation of what it would have been like in the past, just by pointing their phone at the item,

This project will make MAC a leading institution at the use of this technology with the main purpose of bringing their work to the public.
