ACA: Statistical study of the consumption of water for domestic use

The Catalan Water Agency (ACA) contacted with inLab FIB to request a statistical study on water consumption, given our experience in data collection and its further study.

The project aims to determine whether domestic water consumption has decreased or increased during the period from 2004 to 2006 according to the information on the households’ water bills provided by the supplier company. The study covers water consumption in 26 municipalities in Catalonia.

This project not only shows how water consumption has varied during this period but also gives way to an analysis to determine the reason for the decrease or increase in this consumption.
