Jamie Arjona is a PhD student at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and researcher at inLab FIB UPC. In 2016, he has completed M.S in Computing granted at UPC with a master thesis dedicated to the use of simulation and optimization techniques to solve Industry 4.0. problems. His main interests are towards data analysis, statistics, visualization and machine learning. His PhD belongs to the Industrial Doctorates Plan from the Generalitat de Catalunya and it is in collaboration with the company Worldsensing S.L, focused on smart cities solutions. The research is focused on time series forecasting from parking sensorial data by developing machine learning models, specifically using neural networks.
